Restored by Marc de Siebenthal in Aclens, Switzerland in 2007, this 2.2s (originally metallic green) was restored to be identical to the 911 driven by Steve McQueen in the film Le Mans. When the restoration had been completed, the factory confirmed that this was the car given directly to Jo Siffert in April 1971, with a prototype 2.4s engine and a Sportomatic gearbox. We found the original engine and gearbox, but they were not fitted to the car.
